Acceptance of terms

This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the Terms & Conditions on which you may make use of the Chippdesigns.co.uk website (the “Site”), whether as a guest or registered user, and the terms applicable to the sale of goods or services through the Site.

By using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions then please refrain from using the Site.

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in the Site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

Payment methods

Purchases may be paid for by using a debit or credit card through Paypal our online payment facility. All prices are in pounds sterling (£), and are payable in pounds sterling (£), plus any applicable taxes.

Refusal of transaction

We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of so refusing or by reason of unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

Delivery arrangements

Your shopping basket on the Site displays the goods you have chosen. We will supply these goods to you in as short a time as is possible. Any delivery times quoted are estimates only, based on availability and normal delivery time in working days. We are often able to deliver on specific days if requested.

Import regulations and duty

If you order goods from our Site for delivery outside the UK, they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order and also ask us about our charges for overseas requests.


In order to receive a full refund should you not be entirely satisfied with your product/s, you have 10 days in which you may return goods to us, which you have ordered through the website. Except where you may have received damaged goods, you will be responsible for the costs of these returns and also ensuring that the goods are returned to us in the same condition that they were received. We will replace any damaged goods at no additional cost to you.

The exceptions to the terms shown above are as follows and are not likely to result in a complete refund:

  • Cancellation of bespoke order (non return of deposit)
  • Bespoke items that have been approved from drawings and are accepted on delivery (unless fault is found or develops within 28 days and satisfactory repairs cannot be made by us).
  • Item returned due to the wrong choice of wood species (if you are not sure before ordering please ask for a wood sample to be sent to you).
  • Damage that has occurred through misuse or neglect of the product such that we deem the environment or usage of the product to be beyond what it was intended for.

Please note that the grain patterns for each piece that we make will be different than those shown on our website as real wood is of course individual. This naturally ensures that each item we make is in fact unique and we always make sure that we use interesting grain patterns when making our furniture.

Glass Tops

The glass tops that we use are toughened and meet all current safety standards. The tops rest on resistive pads and are very stable. Many of our clients have young children and/or pets and we have not had to replace a single top to date!
